The fact is that a position that holds the highest concentration of power in the world is of concern to everyone in the world.  The US president is directly involved with the people in that position.  Since the US president is the political right arm/bootlick of the corporate cadre of ancient honkeys that is seated in that position, it is also important who he is.

Al Gore is a terrifying composite of a jellyfish, a chameleon and a talking bird.  If I could believe for one second that Al Gore actually meant a word he said I would think the Americans were all fucking imbeciles for not electing him.

But he's a mannequin and a creepy one at that.  Eating the ballot seems like a better idea than using it to vote for Gore.

Bush is potentially the most dangerous idiot in history.  There have been others, but none of them had nuclear weapons, or wanted more nuclear weapons than they presently had.  If the present arsenal of the US isn't enough for him to feel safe there is something seriously fucking scaring that guy.  I can only guess it's sea monsters or Cubans.  I can't even guess what he imagines as the worst case scenario for which the American tax dollar needs be spent.  A simultaneous 2 coast attack by Godzilla and Mecha-Godzilla?  What makes me laugh is that George Bush has killed more Americans than any foreign war in the last 20 years.  Who do you think they're executing in Texas twice a day, here's a hint, it's Americans.

So Bush is a paranoid moron and Gore is a talking bird, who do you choose?  Nader?  Waste of time, if the Green party ever got off the ground a CIA particle beam from space would blow up his house.  No one would ever let Nader do anything.

It doesn't matter who the president is, meet the new boss same as the old boss.

Canada has an election coming up, with some of the same issues.  Obsolete Christian values and fiscal conservatism are pitted against social responsibility and a moral vacuum.

The alliance party wants the government out of the economy and in the home.  The family values and social norms that they want to protect are down home notions like xenophobia, homophobia, fear, blame, their God and a trademark of hard heartedness.  The poor wouldn't be poor if they would just accept that you have to jump through their hoops and then grin thankfully at a handful of lifeless seeds.

The Liberals want another five years to run the government like a summer camp, passing the mickey around while the kids are asleep laughing while doling out patronage plums.  Free cars, vacations, and summer houses are their issues, agendas and constituents.  If it takes a few gallons of pepper spray on students or protestors so be it.

The NDP want to bankrupt the country, their policies are awesome, their party is a fucking joke.  Good luck, maybe in 100 years.

The Conservatives just want to keep their name on the books.  Joe Clark is insane, mean and funny as hell.  He should be the next prime minister just because he represents nothing.  This is his agenda.  1) Balance the budget  2)Go home  3)Mow the lawn  4)Get a goods nights sleep.

We all know life isn't easy, and people wind up at the bottom for a reason, not a choice.  I hate lazy stupid people more than anyone, but not as much as I hate lazy stupid privileged people.  Sitcoms and pop culture reflect our glib and careless treatment of each other.  We see the beautiful but undead walking through life experiences with no meaning and then understand our own lives in the same way.  We choose our leaders by this fashion, style, superficial gloss.  They are all crap.  Not a one of them is worth your trust and inevitable disappointment.  But you have to do something, so I say vote for the one who is least likely to try and do anything at all.  A move in any direction is surely disaster so vote PC or Liberal.  Why the fuck not?

I'm anti-nuke, anti-racist, anti-homophobic, anti-sexist; except that women are crazy, but that doesn't mean they can't do a job better than any man, in fact they generally do better because they haven't figured out that no one is actually paying attention to how good of a job you do anyway.  Soon enough they will figure out men have no fucking clue what we're doing and then they may just take over.  Good.  As long as they don't get control of the TV I'm cool.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, but sadly different kinds of vigilance are needed for different times.  This November you have to bite the bullet and vote, not because its worthwhile, but because a lot of idiots who think you have too much freedom are going to vote for you to have less.  It's called strategic voting and it has to be done my comrades, at least until my doomsday gun is complete, then its lights out.
